Mirassou Winery, with David Mirassou

With more than 150 years of winemaking from the Mirassou family and a line of eight uniquely expressive wines

honoring our rich traditions, we are proud that for six generations we've been able to share the gift and joy of

winemaking. Bruce & many other WINOs were previous "Mirassou Tasting Panel" MTP members, and in 1985 Bruce

along with several other WINOs took the 8 week long class at Mirassou on "Beginning Wine Tasting". After that we

moved on to another 8 week course of "Intermediate Wine Tasting", and finishing it up with another 7 weeks of

"Advanced Wine Tasting". Bruce was still educating his Palate and had to take them all again. What a Great addition

the Mirassou's have brought to the History of San Jose and California since 1854!

Directions: From Hwy 17 & Lark Ave, go South and turn right onto Los Gatos Blvd.

Continue almost a mile, and turn left before Blossom Hill into the parking lot, with that ending at their front door.

DINNER: Your Choice:

Center Cut Top Sirloin Steak, Slices of roasted top sirloin, mashed potatoes, lemon spinach, red wine demiglaze

Fresh Grilled Moroccan Salmon, Saffron couscous, lemon, fennel seed, carrots tagine, mediterranean bbq sauce

Baked Penne Pasta & Chicken, Italian sausage, mushrooms, arugula, mozzarella, tomato cream

Caesar Salad, Hearts of romaine, croutons, grana padano cheese, Viva caesar dressing, Bread, Coffee, and Dessert

Chocolate Torte - Flourless chocolate cake, vanilla gelato, raspberry & chocolate sauces.

Open Seating. Turn cell phones off, and because with wine the nose is so important, please no fragrances.

The first 80, to sign up, will be seated in the Banquet Room, an additional twenty can sit in the patio.

COST: WINO members $48.00 per person. Guests (prospective members) $58.00 ea. Members may bring one guest at

member price, per member. Non-members may attend their first event at member price. This event is only for ages, 21

and older, no pets. Please make checks out to WINO and mail to the above address. If your payment won`t be received

by Wednesday Sept 24th, 3:30pm, then please call or email to let Bruce know. I will still add people but can't

guarantee your entree choice. In the case of you don`t show, you still must pay, because I still have to pay for the meals

& wine ordered. You will not be contacted unless a sellout precludes receipt of your check. There will be no refunds

after the above date, unless your place can be filled from a waiting list.

Restaurant/Catering. What a Beautiful Day at Fellom Ranch, with 65 WINOs in attendance we picked up $5700 worth.

*The 30th Annual Overnight Bus Trip finally graduated into a Car-Pool, where we had 11 WINO's go to Lodi where

most of the 4 wineries we visited each day, rolled out the carpet for us. We started at Woodbridge for a nice tour of

their facility including the Bouquet of their 100,000 Barrel Cellar which you couldn't see the end. On this trip we had a

blast. Next year, the 31st Overnighter will be set up as a Car-pool unless there's enough interest to justify a Bus.

*Royal Coach took 50 WINOs to the Rock Wall Open House. For 3 hours we were in their wine & food wonderland.
